description We aimed to evaluate the patient distribution according to diagnosis, dose and fraction data in four radiotherapy centers in Istanbul with a robotic system. The data of the patients treated in 2010 in these centers were analyzed retrospectively. Five hundred ninety-three patients treated with the CyberKnife (CK) system during 2010 were included in this study. The median age of the patients (355 male [59.9%], 238 female [40.1%]) was 55 years (range: 8-87). CK was used as primary treatment in 348 patients, for reirradiation in 209 patients, planned boost in 26 patients, and for recurrence in previous field edge in 10 patients. Total median dose was 2100 cGy (800-7500 cGy), median dose per fraction was 800 cGy (200-3750), and median total fraction was 3 (1-10). CK is preferred as a curative or palliative modality in the treatment of certain malignant and some benign lesions, with appropriate indications.
