Description
Summary:Some physicochemical properties of cetylpyridinium peroxydisulfate (CPPS), the reaction product of potassium persulfate and cetylpyridinium bromide, were studied using calorimetry and IR spectroscopy. Its antibacterial and antifungal activities were studied. It was found that CPPS possessed weak antibacterial activity against the test cultures but high antifungal activity against Candida albicans .
