Summary: | Objective: To verify the factors that influence cooperation, competition and coopetition in a commercial cluster in the State of Sergipe. Methodology/approach: Through an explanatory-descriptive study, with a quantitative approach and data analysis using univariate, bivariate and multivariate statistical techniques. Originality/Relevance: It is noticed that although there is a vast literature on clusters being discussed, these studies have focused on the industrial context with limited discussion about this phenomenon in the retail commercial context, since most of the businesses inserted in the researched cluster are of a retail nature. . Main results: The results found revealed that women are more likely to cooperate than men, but are as competitive as they are; the existence of a commercial cluster in the studied region was also verified. Theoretical/methodological contributions: here was a lack of sustainable elements between cooperation and coopetition in the evaluated cluster, as well as the role of gender and education in cooperation practices. Objetivo: verificar os fatores que influenciam a cooperacao, competicao e coopeticao em um aglomerado comercial no Estado de Sergipe. Metodologia/abordagem: Estudo explicativo-descritivo, com abordagem quantitativa e analise de dados com tecnicas estatisticas univariadas, bivariadas e multivariadas. Originalidade/Relevancia: Percebe-se que embora exista vasta literatura sobre clusters sendo discutida, esses estudos tem focado no contexto industrial com limitada discussao sobre esse fenomeno no contexto comercial varejista, modalidade de negocio predominante no aglomerado pesquisado. Principais resultados: Os resultados encontrados revelaram que as mulheres sao mais propensas a cooperarem que os homens, mas sao tao competitivas quanto eles; tambem foi constatada a existencia de um cluster comercial na regiao estudada. Contribuicoes teoricas/metodologicas: constou-se a inexistencia de elementos sustentaveis entre cooperacao e coopeticao no cluster avaliado, assim como o papel do genero e escolaridade nas praticas de coopeticao.
