Summary:Objective: To investigate the traits and influencing elements of depression in senior hypertension individuals. Methods: Depressive symptoms were measured using the Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) in a sample of 300 elderly hypertensive patients at our hospital; Single and multiple factor logistic regression were used to examine the patients' general information. Results: Among the 300 elderly patients with hypertension, 131 (43.67%) had depression, including 86 (28.67%) with mild depression, 36 (12.00%) with moderate depression, and 9 (3.00%) with severe depression; The elderly patients with hypertension tended to have depression in women, with BMI
