Summary:Introduction: Adolescence is a crucial phase that covers the age range of 10 to 19 years or 12 to 18 years. This transition phase can be seen as crucial in preventing mental illnesses in adulthood. It is crucial to consider, for mental health, the elements of adolescent development. Team sports promote the development of a sense of collaboration and teamwork, that is, they help in the socialization of children and adolescents, helping to maintain good mental health. Objective: The objective of this review was to identify the contributions of team sports to mental health during adolescence. Materials and Methods: The study is a systematic literature review on scientific articles in scientific journals allocated in the database: Scientific Electronic Library Online Scielo.Org, using the terms: Collective Sports, Adolescents and Mental Health. Results: 49 articles were found with the terms used in the search. After reading the articles, 39 articles were included in the exclusion criteria and 10 in the inclusion criteria. Discussion: In the 10 selected articles, a total of 5,071 adolescents were used as a sample, with a minimum age of 10 years and a maximum of 19 years, using various procedures as research instruments, the majority of which were questionnaires. Conclusion: In conclusion, the studies highlight that adolescents often do not have selfknowledge regarding the quality of their own mental health or the benefits that physical exercise can bring to it and that adolescents who practice team sports have better development of skills and attributes. Key words: Team Sports. Adolescents. Mental health. Introducao: A adolescencia e uma fase crucial que abrange a faixa etaria de 10 a 19 anos ou 12 a 18 anos. Essa fase de transicao pode ser vista como crucial na prevencao de doencas mentais na vida adulta. E crucial considerar, para a saude mental, os elementos do desenvolvimento do adolescente. Os esportes coletivos, em particular, promovem o desenvolvimento do senso de colaboracao e trabalho em equipe, ou seja, auxiliam na socializacao das criancas e adolescentes ajudando a manter uma boa saude mental. Objetivo: O objetivo desta revisao foi identificar as contribuicoes da pratica de esportes coletivos na saude mental durante a adolescencia. Materiais e Metodos: O estudo e do tipo revisao sistematica de literatura sobre artigos cientificos em revistas cientificas alocadas na base de dados: Scientific Electronic Library Online - Scielo.Org, utilizando os termos
