The relationship between smart cities and COVID-19 cases in Brazil/A relacao entre as cidades inteligentes e os casos de COVID-19 no Brasil

This research aims to analyze the correlation of smart cities with COVID-19 cases in Brazil. It is a quantitative research, with its objectives being descriptive and data analysis by means of Pearson's correlation coefficient. The data was obtained through the Urban Systems portal along with data from the municipal secretariats of the cities analyzed and listed. The result is that the indicators that relate to the aspect of mobility involving collective transport, such as the indicators of transport modes and single ticket, are shared in different thematic axes due to their nature, and that, these indicators in their nature, involve the low social class of the country, which is the one that most depends on collective transport modes, the one that cannot, in its essence, remain quarantined or get used to the measures for preventing and combating the virus. Keywords: Smart Cities. COVID-19. Public Management. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar a correlacao das smart cities com os casos de Covid-19 no Brasil. Tratando-se de uma pesquisa de natureza quantitativa, com os seus objetivos sendo descritivos e analise de dados por meio do coeficiente de correlacao de Pearson. Os dados foram obtidos atraves do portal da Urban Systems juntamente com dados das secretarias municipais das cidades analisadas e listadas. Tendo o resultado de que os indicadores que se relacionam com o aspecto da mobilidade envolvendo transportes coletivos, como os indicadores de modais de transporte e bilhete unico, sao compartilhados em diferentes eixos tematicos devido a sua natureza, e que, estes indicadores em sua natureza, envolvem a classe social baixa do pais, que e a que mais depende de modais de transportes coletivos, a que nao consegue, em sua essencia, permanecer em quarentena ou se habituar de forma rapida as medidas de prevencao e combate ao virus.
