Summary: | According to a study released in 2022 by the National Confederation of Transport (CNT), more than half (66%) of the country's roads were considered deficient, with a Regular, Bad or Very Bad rating. This scenario is even more worrying on Bahia's highways, where 72% have some type of pathology. Carrying out regular evaluations and maintenance of the highways is fundamental to avoid the aggravation of problems. Therefore, this work aims to evaluate the surface of the pavement and to know the current quality conditions in a section of the BR-415 and BR-101 highways, applying the Continuous Visual Survey method, following the guidelines established by the DNIT 008/2003 standard. -PRO. The evaluated stretch has a total length of 16 km and was divided into segments of 1 km. The division was carried out according to normative criteria, adopting the minimum extension indicated by the norm. The segments were inspected following the normative criteria, being later tabulated and systematized, obtaining the following indexes of frequency of pathologies in the covering: IGGE (Expedite Global Severity Index), ICPF (Flexible Pavement Condition Index) and IES (Index of Condition of Flexible Pavements) of the Surface State). Based on the results obtained after the evaluation, the BR-415 stretch was categorized as Regular in the urban subsections and Excellent in the subsections outside the urban zone, while the BR-101 subsections were categorized as Bad and Very Bad, showing damage in several segments. Segundo um estudo divulgado em 2022 pela Confederacao Nacional do Transporte (CNT), mais da metade (66%) das estradas do pais foram consideradas deficientes, com classificacao Regular, Ruim ou Pessimo. Esse cenario e ainda mais preocupante nas rodovias da Bahia, nas quais 72% apresentam algum tipo de patologia. A realizacao de avaliacoes e manutencoes regulares das rodovias e fundamental para evitar o agravamento de problemas.
