Description
Summary:The near temperature field downstream of a heated ribbon is investigated experimentally in air and in water in the forced convection regime corresponding to the 2-D periodic wake. Previous measurements have shown that in a such situation the structure of the velocity fields is found similar in the two fluids when the experiments are performed at the same effective Reynolds number. When this condition is satisfied it appears that the structure of the corresponding temperature fields is found significantly different in relation with the Prandtl number values of the two fluids.
