A consistency test for α-functions of cubic equations of state
This study highlights that α-functions used in cubic equations of state must be of class C2 i.e. that their first (dα/dT) and second (d2α/dT2) derivatives must exist and must be continuous, positive (α>0), monotonically decreasing (dα/dT0) and also verify d3α/dT3
