“Vapoconductivity”. Sorption of Organic Vapors Causes Large Increases in the Conductivity of a Dendrimer

Dendrimers peripherally modified with oligothiophene cation radicals were prepared. The electrical conductivity of thin films showed rapid, dramatic (up to 800x), and reversible increases in conductivity when exposed to certain organic vapors.
