Description
Summary:This paper describes a fast sub-terahertz (THz) camera that is based on the use of a quantum infrared camera coupled with a photothermal converter, called a THz-to-Thermal Converter (TTC), thus allowing fast image acquisition. The performance of the experimental setup is presented and discussed, with an emphasis on the advantages of the proposed method for decreasing noise in raw data and increasing the image acquisition rate. A detectivity of 160 pW Hz −0.5 per pixel has been achieved, and some examples of the practical implementation of sub-THz imaging are given.
