Summary:Insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) and insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3 (IGFBP-3) are involved in oxidative stress and atherosclerosis; however, the relationship between the IGF-I system and atrial fibrillation (AF) is not known. The objective of this analysis was to assess, the relationship between IGF-I and IGFBP-3 serum levels and AF among elderly participants.
