Summary: | Practitioners’ fear-avoidance beliefs can influence positively or negatively therapeutic outcomes in their patients. This study reports pain knowledge and fear-avoidance beliefs of French osteopathy students and educators towards the management of chronic low back pain (cLBP).
An online cross-sectional survey was proposed to educators and students. It included sociodemographic characteristics and two questionnaires: the FABQ-HC to assess beliefs on the effects of physical and work activities for people with cLBP, and the NPQ to assess participants' knowledge of pain.
Participants (N = 172) had mean FABQ-HC subscale scores of 11.02 ± 4.44 (Physical activity) and 24.37 ± 11.78 (Work). The mean NPQ total score was 11.90 ± 2.05.
