Summary: | The purpose of this article is to determine if a MOOC facilitate entrepreneurial learning. Do participants need to have a certain level to persevere in the Mooc? For those who have completed the Mooc, is there an improvement? This dual question concerns both the level of autonomy in a participant's learning process and the level of entrepreneurial capacity. We present the results of a research conducted on a Mooc about effectual entrepreneurship and find that 1) the role of motivation for self directed learning is important but is moderated by a sufficient allocation of time; 2) the Mooc enables a progression of the entrepreneurial self-efficacy regardless of the initial level, and 3) Self-directed learning, which is a mean rather than a goal of learning via a Mooc, does not progress as much as self efficacy.
