Description
Summary:The development of the theory of the firm has included only limited insight into the legal and political nature of business enterprises, and the inquiry into the nature of normative orderings has been obscured. By normative ordering, we mean a regulatory standard regarding industrial relations applicable for a given time to real entities-here, firms. This article contributes to bridging this theoretical gap by examining the historical and institutional evolution of firms concerning industrial pluralism and by focusing on the accuracy of the study of the entanglement of private and public normative orderings in firms.
