Summary:Gender equality curriculum is not a required subject due to the marginal position of gender issues in teacher education program. The research integrated and transformed gender education into child development curriculum through action research, and explored the influence on students’ gender awareness and professional knowledge and skills in gender education. The research found the content of physical and mental development, socialization and relationship in child development were suitable for integrating the content of gender education and developing curriculum transformation and transformative. The transformative teaching had positive influence on students’ gender awareness, knowledge and skills, and also deepened the learning in child development
