Summary: | The political tsunami prompted by the 1 July 2018 presidential elections shacked Mexican
economic and political arena. One year into taking office, the pandemic exploded, encouraging
a disjointed political opposition taking advantage of it to demand changes to the
government progressive distributive program. Our research shows: first, the government´s
economic policies adequacy for combating the pandemic, second, the fast spread the infection
across Mexico´s and the country’s better results in health and economic indicators,
than advanced countries; third, the solid political support for the president so far. |
