Description
Summary:The objective of this research is to evaluate the number of words per minute by using a mobile application that implements the natural language processing and that contributes to the reading comprehension of students of 5th and 6th grade of elementary education in Mexico. The application was developed with the software development kit Flutter to do the interface programming and the library "Vosk" that implements the natural language processing. The results demonstrate the ability of the mobile application to detect the words that student is capable to read during the aloud reading. In addition, the application registers the time of the reading and finally, ask questions at the end of each proof. These results allow to calculate the reading comprehension of the student by the natural language processing that give a general result of the performance at the end of the test.
