Summary: | The growing need to reduce fuel consumption and emissions in the transportation sector has prompted the adoption of advanced electric drive system technologies. Electric vehicle appear as the right solution, then it is necessary to install a recharging station to charge the electric vehicle battery. In this paper, a recharging station based on photovoltaic system is developed. However, the major drawback of this solution is the intermittent character of the photovoltaic system, due to the variability of solar irradiation. In this paper, a power and control supervisor is presented for flexible operation of a recharging PV station in order to charge the battery of the electric vehicle at any instant. This station consists of a PV panels and stationary batteries as storage system. The recharging PV station and the storage system was created using MATLAB Simulink environment. The effectiveness of the proposed control method is validated by simulation results presented by two scenarios according to the state of charge of the batteries and the solar irradiation. |
