Summary:Grid Information Model (GIM) is a technical standard formulated by the State Grid to meet the needs of the three-dimensional design of power transmission and transformation projects. This study aims to better apply the digital results of the 3D design of cable laying to the whole life cycle of UHVDC projects. Thus, the research is conducted on the three-dimensional design technology of cable laying of DC control and protection system based on GIM. A path optimization algorithm for laying cables between multi-device nodes is proposed under the constraints of cable laying. Additionally, the construction of the GIM model of cable laying design and the digital handover are explored.
