Summary:The main methods of protection of power facilities personnel from the affects of electric fields of industrial frequency are considered. Measurements of the induced current in the human body are carried out, experimental data and calculations are given, showing a decrease in current when using individual protection equipment of various configurations. The expediency of using a grounded shield on a helmet as a means of individual protection of personnel from the affects of electrical fields of industrial frequency is justified. The invention proposes a design of a portable earthing electrode attached to a heel of a working boot, which provides electrical contact with a grounded screen on a helmet.
