Summary: | A hexagonal-triangular-shaped metamaterial absorber with a hexagonal slot is presented in this paper for the visible and infrared regions. This absorber is based on double layer Si and SiO 2 substrate and Tungsten layer metallic design. The metamaterial absorber has been designed using CST microwave studio and studied for the visible and infrared regions. The developed absorber has achieved a maximum absorbance of 98.16% at 478.85 nm with an average absorbance of 82.65% over the 400 - 1200 nm wavelength. The absorbance has also been studied up to 60° incidence angle, from where it is revealed that the average absorption is highest at an incidence angle of 45°. |
