Summary: | Space division multiple access (SDMA) may provide a solution to increase the bandwidth efficiency and the transmission capacity of a cellular system or in a wireless network by exploiting the spatial dimension aiding transmission of very high data rates over wireless links. The implementation of such SDMA receivers, however, requires accurate channel estimation in severe frequency-selective and time-variant broadband radio channels. In this paper, we consider the link from the mobile user to the base station. The subsystems include an orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM) transmitter, an adaptive antenna array (AAA), the vector channel model, the data model, and the weight construction and combining. |
