Summary: | This study describes a C-band wideband circuit analogue absorber. The structure is made up of resonators that are printed on a resistive film mounted on a dielectric substrate in a repeating pattern. The substrate and the ground plane are kept apart from one another by an air spacer. By generating an equivalent circuit model and displaying the normalized impedance plot, the absorber operation is described. The co-cross polarised reflection coefficient and the Polarization conversion ratio (PCR) plot are provided so that one may identify whether or not the structure is an absorber. The absorber is independent of an incident EM wave polarization due to the symmetrically designed resonators on the substrate. The proposed design also achieves 45 o angular stability for TE (transverse electric) as well as for TM (transverse magnetic) polarization. |
