Improving Compaction in LSM Trees through ZNS Simple Copy: (Extended Abstract)

In this study, we propose a novel compaction method that leverages the simple copy command of ZNS. If data blocks have little of no overlap in key range, they are directly copied to the target SSTable without reading them into the host memory, thus eliminating the need for merge sorting.
