Summary: | Efficient wavefront control is crucial for a myriad of applications in free-space optics. In this context, the use of reconfigurable metasurfaces is a go-to solution due to their subwavelength depth, efficiency and versatility. This work presents a germanium-based metasurface capable of performing beam steering operations using non-volatile phase-change materials (PCM) as their active component. Furthermore, the device is able to exploit local and non-local behaviour by tuning the refractive index of the PCM in the Near-Infrared (NIR). |
