Description
Summary:We study the ultrafast dynamics of photoexcited charge carriers in micron-scale single crystals composed of the inorganic perovskite CsPbBr 3 with time-resolved THz spectroscopy. Exciting with photon energy close to the band edge, we find that a fast (\lt 10 ps) decay emerges with increasing fluence and decreasing temperature, dominating the dynamics at 4 K. This behavior is well explained by Auger recombination. The THz photoconductivity resembles a Drude response, yet an additional Lorentz component due to an above-bandwidth exciton resonance is needed to satisfactorily reproduce the data
