Description
Summary:We present a situation-dependent mosaicing system using light composition, which enables users to observe the image in stopping condition, but not in moving condition. This system utilizes light composition by superimposing images with a high-speed display. The target image is decomposed into mosaic images. As a result, all light is merged and the target image is recognized from stopping persons. In contrast, from moving persons, light is not merged to achieve the target image, and the image is recognized as disordered. This system allows the recognition to change depending on the movement of the observer while the same image is projected. In this paper, as a proof of concept, we implement two mosaic prototypes. Comparative experiments were conducted to formulate optimal projection frequency and synthetic mosaics. This system is expected to be applied to recognition operations in digital signage.
