Description
Summary:This paper discusses the design of a remote water quality monitoring system using nanosatellites simulated using universal software radio portable (USRP). This research was conducted to overcome the problem of unreachable signals in rivers with distant and remote locations. To monitor water quality, a prototype ship will be built that can move automatically and is installed with water quality sensors. To connect between USRPs, an antenna operating at a frequency of 2.22 GHz is designed. Water quality data is sent by the USRP to the satellite, then from the satellite forwarded to the ground station. This ground station is assumed to be the Ministry of Environment (KMLH). The results of the monitoring data will be displayed on the website.
