Summary: | The modulation bandwidth of the Light Emitting Diode (LED) is an essential parameter for visible light communication systems. The crystal orientation of an LED plays an important role in determining the modulation bandwidth. This study has simulated five different crystal orientations-based GaN LEDs to realise the impact of crystal orientations on recombination rates, carrier lifetime, and modulation bandwidth to meet the industry requirements for high-speed visible light communication applications. |
