Summary: | In this work the event-oriented method is employed to model and predict the lifetime of lead-acid and lithium iron phosphate batteries, applied to uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). The use of an ampere-hour integration method to verify battery state of health is proposed to be used in conjunction with the event-oriented method for higher accuracy. The methods are applied to a commercial 1 kW single-office\home-office UPS. The methods are proposed considering that additional circuits, measurements and microprocessors must be avoided to not increase the cost of the UPS, reducing its market competitiveness. |
