Description
Summary:Down Syndrome: global prevalence 1 in 1000, limited support in Sri Lanka, lack of information for effective assistance compared to other countries. Educational institutes lack effective teaching methods for Down Syndrome students, who can benefit from various learning methodologies: Visual, Auditory, Read and Write, and Kinesthetic. The main objective of this application is to determine the best teaching methodology for the Down Syndrome student for the teachers to have the maximum impact on their teaching abilities. This app enhances learning by tailoring teaching methods to each student's needs, breaking Sri Lanka's one-size-fits-all approach. It ensures productive and enjoyable study sessions. To accomplish the task an application will be developed with the assistance of machine learning to provide gaming interfaces for students to play through which data will be gathered to determine the best teaching methodologies. One unique factor to consider in this system would be that all the games are in the Sinhala language for the students to be more comfortable with the system. According to the scores, an individual, personalized teaching plan will be delivered to the teachers to follow. Through this system, both students who are taught at institutes as well as home-schooled children will benefit immensely.
