Summary: | Infrared thermography as a non-destructive testing method provides radiometric records of surface temperature distribution in the form of an image. During thermographic measurements, emissivity coefficient should be (re)factored to obtain the correct temperature values. Corrections in corresponding software for infrared thermographic cameras for surfaces with high emissivities yield sufficiently accurate results. However, surfaces that are characterized by low emissivity which behaviors differ significantly from that of high emitters pose a challenge. This paper analyses the application of software assistance in the correction of radiation values of two surfaces with contrasting emissivities that compose the same object. Results of the analysis are presented in tabular and graphical form to illustrate the challenge of correction process. |
