Description
Summary:We reported a class of electronic interfaces based on oriented crystallization silk towards chronical biopotential recording. Tunable molecular orientation crystallization of silk membrane was achieved with a pre-stretching treatment, which enabled the aqueous stability of silkbased electronic interfaces with superior biocompatibility and electronic shielding properties. Through the chemicalreagent-free process of the shadow mask and waterlithography, the orientation crystallization silk-based electronic interface has been demonstrated for long-term acquisition of electromyographic signal in living mice for more than 3 days, and acutely recording of ECoG signal of epilepsy models. Our approach provides opportunities for natural silk protein with long-term working stability in bioelectronics and bio-interfaces.
