Summary: | Drinking water treatment plants built in the 20th century do not meet all water quality requirements. To date, combined water treatment methods have been developed that are capable of purifying water to standard values both during short-term (episodic) wastewater discharges from industrial enterprises and during flood periods. The article discusses different ways of combining the ozonation method with the current water treatment technology. Experimental studies were carried out at a pilot plant for primary and secondary ozonation, and the results obtained were described. Based on the laboratory studies obtained, a combined technological scheme of a water treatment plant for producing drinking water has been proposed. |
