Summary: | The paper presents a control system of a static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) designed to stabilize the frequency and voltage amplitude of an induction generator (IG) with a squirrel-cage rotor operating on an isolated load. The STATCOM is implemented on fully managed keys, which allows it to regulate the active and reactive power of both signs. The proposed control system is implemented based on dq theory and requires only one parameter for its operation - the voltage on the IG bus. The control system was tested at rated power, as well as at reduced and increased power. The simulation results demonstrate the correctness of the developed control system. |
