Description
Summary:In this work, the densification behavior and microwave dielectric properties of CaO-B 2 O 3 -SiO 2 (CBS) glass under different Ca/Si ratios and B 2 O 3 content were systematically studied. Additionally, the impact of sintering process on the dielectric properties was further discussed. The results indicated a significant increase in linear shrinkage from 14.9% to 51.9% as the Ca/Si ratio increasing from 0.8 to 1.5. Moreover, when the B 2 O 3 contents increased from 5.5 mol% to 7.5 mol%, there was a decrease in Ts from 744.2°C to 720.8°C, ε r decreased from 6.05 to 5.57, and tanδ decreased from 2.1×10 -3 to 1.4×10 -3 . Notably, when Ca/Si = 1.0 and B 2 O 3 = 7.5 mol%, the CBS glass-ceramics heated to 850°C at a heating rate of 5 °C/min for 45 min exhibited excellent microwave dielectric properties: ε r =5.53 (@12.22 GHz), tanδ= 1.3×10 -3 and Q×f~ 9166 GHz.
