Description
Summary:Despite the progress in software and testing techniques there are still many issues and problems arising from the lack of ability to use software in the way it was designed or to interpret available data. A testing technique focusing on methods how to help users achieve their goals effectively, safely, and in a satisfying way is called usability testing. The study employs methods to asses usability: heuristic evaluation and the System Usability Scale (SUS). Heuristic evaluation, conducted by experts in information technology and user interface design, identifies usability strengths and areas for improvement based on established heuristics. With both overall positive results 89.6% and 82.5% for Heuristic evaluation and System Usability Scale respectively we discuss patterns similar to previous research as well as what needs to be improved in the future and the future of heuristics in aviation.
