Summary: | This paper introduces a discontinuous Galerkin method for the vector wave equation, incorporating Robin transmission conditions (RTC-DGTD), devised to address time-domain electromagnetic problems. The proposed RTC-DGTD method divides the vector E-field wave equation into n non-overlapping subdomains and introduces numerical flux to facilitate the exchange of information among adjacent subdomains. In addition, to further improve the computational power, a (FETI)-like solving strategy is employed to divide the global matrix into smaller local matrix equations for parallel operation. In comparison to the conventional time-domain finite element method (TDFEM) method, the RTC-DGTD algorithm, as proposed, demonstrates notable advancements in both computation time and requisite memory space efficiency. |
