Description
Summary:This paper deals with the evaluation of the power quality in a multipurpose building CPIT-TL3 equipped with many non-linear appliances and a hybrid photovoltaic power plant (HPVPP). During the control reading of the power consumption from the electricity meters, discrepancies in the current and power values measured by the main electricity meter of the building and the HPVPP metering system were found. For this reason, measurements were made using power quality analysers. The measurements revealed a significantly distorted current draw with a low power factor. Selected measurement results and their analysis are presented in this paper. Although the significantly distorted current did not affect the quality of the supply voltage, the reduction of current distortion will need to be addressed. The multipurpose building is primarily used for scientific and research purposes; therefore, the distortion of the drawn current should be as low as possible.
