Summary: | Various algorithms are used to reconstruct the 3D shape of object surfaces using visible light cameras: stereo reconstruction, shape from motion, shape from shadow, and others. Special attention is paid to the shape from polarization algorithm, which is based on the physics of light reflection and changes in the degree of polarization. However, all of these methods are based on light reflection, not radiation. The paper presents a method for reconstructing the 3D shape of hot metal surfaces using a modification of the shape from the polarization algorithm. |
