Analysis for Information Security in Virtual Environments for a Higher Education Institution

Problems in information security for access in virtual environments are persistent, for the use of technological resources available online; one of the causes is inadequate means of communication, IT infrastructures without meeting any TIER, physical security does not meet national and international standards, among others. The objective of this research is to identify solutions in virtual learning environments for Higher Education Institutions. The deductive method and exploratory research were used to analyze the information. It turned out basic elements for security in virtual learning environments, Impact of the solutions of virtual learning environments and Advantages of the situation of virtual environments. It was concluded that, to mitigate the risks, vulnerability threats for the use of virtual environments, it is necessary in a first phase to identify the basic elements for security in virtual learning environments, Impact of the solutions of virtual learning environments and Advantages of the situation of virtual environments as an alternative to mitigate the risks, threats and vulnerabilities in virtual learning environments for a higher education institution.
