Description
Summary:This paper proposes a VR-based self-practicing system of a trombone for beginners. Adopting hand controllers with 6DOF as input and VR HMD with speaker and tactile device on the hand controllers as output, the proposed system provides visual, acoustic and tactile sense for feedback of correct/incorrect position of the slide of trombone. Through the experience of the proposed system, the learners are expected to recognize the correct positions of a slide corresponding sound scales. A user test with pre/post questionnaire shows good performance of the proposed system.
