Description
Summary:This paper presents a novel approach to designing a Quadrature Hybrid Coupler (QHC) utilizing Triple Tapered Resonators (TTR) to achieve harmonic suppression. In this case, triple-tapered resonators are effectively integrated into the horizontal and vertical main branches of the conventional coupler, leading to modifying the structure of the main branches. The triple-tapered resonators play a crucial role in suppressing harmonics and enhancing the coupler performance. The presented QHC operates at 2 GHz frequency with a bandwidth of 230 MHz and effectively can suppress 2 nd , 3 rd , 4 th , and 5 th harmonics. The outcomes of this research highlight the effectiveness of triple-tapered resonators in achieving successful harmonics suppression. The presented design offers promising features for application in efficient communication systems, where harmonic interference is a critical consideration.
