Description
Summary:A quadrature modulator is referred to as a functional unit of radio engineering devices that performs the operation of shifting the spectrum of radio signals from one frequency range to another. Similar operations are performed by other types of modulators. However, in all types of modulation, which are based on changing one of the parameters of the high-frequency (carrier) oscillation according to the law determined by the source of the modulating oscillation, the spectrum structure of the modulated oscillation significantly differs from the spectrum structure of the modulating oscillation. Moreover, the frequency band occupied by the spectrum of the modulated oscillation is significantly wider than the band of the spectrum of the modulating oscillation. This article presents theoretical material for solving the problem of assessing the feasibility of using a certain type of filters in a specific signal formation scheme that includes quadrature modulators.
