Summary: | In this paper, a sheet beam electron gun for a 220GHz sheet beam travelling wave tube (SB-TWT) is designed and optimized by using the Tracking Solver implemented in the Computer Simulation Technology (CST). Simulation results reveal that the designed sheet beam electron gun achieves a beam current of 0.1A, operating at a beam voltage of 30kV, and exhibits a sheet beam size at the beam waist of approximately 0.66*0.08mm. The sheet beam electron gun can be used to construct 220 GHz SB-TWTs. |
