Summary: | In this paper, a high-voltage gain floating boost (HGFB) converter is proposed. In contrast to the traditional interleaved boost converter, the proposed converter attains an increased voltage gain. This enhancement is made possible by the unique structure involving two inductors capable of charging in parallel and discharging in series. As a result, it offers superior performance, especially in applications demanding extremely high conversion ratios. Moreover, the proposed converter's two modules naturally maintain balance without necessitating feedback control, contributing to reduce the converter cost. To confirm the functionality and performance of the suggested converter, simulations were executed at a power level of 1.6 kW. |
