Summary: | This paper aims to present the analysis of various airgap values for the detent and holding torques calculation for a hybrid stepper motor using FEM analysis. The stepper motors are designed considering all the technical performances stated in the Technical specification must be fulfilled. For this, the numerical analysis using three-dimensional modeling is intensively used in the design stage to calculate detent and holding torques versus angle characteristics. An experimental model for the stepper motor is presented, also. The parasitic and holding torque versus angle are shown, and the calculated and measured values are compared. |
