Summary: | Over the years, several methods of protection against ground faults in the stators of synchronous generators have been developed. However, only recently has a method been proposed capable of guaranteeing protection system selectivity in scenarios involving the operation of multiple generators connected in parallel to the same bus and individually grounded by high impedance. This method has only been proven through offline simulation. This work develops a test platform using a real-time simulation environment and evaluates that selective protection scheme against ground faults in the stator of synchronous generators. The results obtained allow us to conclude that the coverage and efficiency of the evaluated method are conditioned to the harmonic level present in each one of the generators sharing the same busbar. |
