Description
Summary:The primary concern for women in today's society revolves around ensuring their safety and protection from harassment. Unfortunately, the world has become increasingly perilous for women, with various nefarious practices such as molestations, dowries, crimes against women, and, most alarmingly, rape on the rise in many nations. According to estimates from reputable organizations like WHO and NCRB, around 35% of women worldwide endure significant health challenges due to such incidents in public settings. Every woman aspires to freely navigate the streets without constant worry about her safety. The fundamental right to be free from violence, harassment, and discrimination is crucial for women. The removal of barriers in this hazardous environment is essential to enable women to reach their full potential as individuals and valuable contributors to the workforce. This article introduces an innovative women's safety system named "Advanced Women Safety System Using IoT Technology." This system aims to enhance women's safety by promptly alerting nearby police stations and family members when a woman is in danger. In times of distress, pressing a button or an automatic activation triggers the system to send location information as an SMS alert to predefined contacts based on latitude and longitude coordinates. The core objective of this project is to prioritize and ensure the protection and safety of women and children.
